Tesla sued a former one employee her on the charge that she stole data about its operation “Automatic Pilot” and gave them to a Chinese opponent company.
According to his documents court, the former employee, called Guangzhi Cao, admitted he had access in Tesla’s source code and that he kept the files on his drive. However, he denies that his actions are theft of commercial secrets. Tesla, on the other hand, has another view. In her complaint she states that the autopilot operation, which Cao was working on, is “Tesla’s jewel” and that Cao tried to transfer this important trade secret to Xiaopeng Motors, the company that works now.
