As the biggest security threat to Internet for most people and businesses in the UK, Ransomware has been named by its head of cybersecurity GCHQ.
Lindy Cameron, chief executive of the National Cyber Security Center, said in a speech that the phenomenon in which hackers encrypt data and demand ransom is growing and becoming more and more professional.
Speaking to Rusi think tank on Monday, Cameron intends to inform that while internet spying by Russia, China and other countries remains a “malicious strategic threat”, the most urgent crisis is ransomware.
