Huawei: 5G U-turn would be a bad idea

Huawei has warned that attempts to disrupt its involvement in the building of the UK’s 5G networks would be doing the country a “disservice” and said it continues to face criticism over its participation in these projects.

Back in January the UK government finally decided that it would¬†allow Huawei to provide some equipment¬†for the country’s 5G networks, although the sensitive ‘core’ parts of 5G networks remained off-limits to the Chinese company. The UK government also restricted Huawei to providing 35% of the equipment for the non-sensitive parts of networks.
