On August 5, an unauthorized person had access medical information of people who have recently made appointments at twelve optometry centers throughout Alberta, including clinical optometry Stonewire on Bellerose Drive.
On its website, Stonewire stated that 84 online accounts reservations have been breached and that they will contact all those affected by the data breach. Their website also stated that it does not maintain sensitive patient information such as healthcare numbers, credit card information or personal health information through the appointment management system
